OUTDOOR FUN AND ADVENTURE await boys and girls, ages 7-12, this Summer, 2014 at Raab Park in Poulsbo, Washington.
This summer, 2014, Janet McKibben, a K-8 Certified Teacher and enthusiastic outdoor adventurer, is holding her fourth year of day camp for two sessions:
July 7-10 and July 21-24
ABOUT OUR CAMP: Each week a small group of children, ages 7-12, will spend their days hiking and exploring outdoors in three areas in and around Raab Park. These areas are composed of wooded trails, grassy fields and forest streams. Informal nature lessons and games are presented throughout the week based on a daily theme: plants, animals, water and soil. The focus of our camp is to present fun and interesting outdoor activities that bring out your child's natural curiosity and sense of adventure! Campers learn about nature through observations, hands-on trail activities and games, by creating "nature art" projects, and by simply exploring and playing out in nature. All activities are designed to increase awareness of and connection to our natural world by sharpening your child's observation skills. There will be free choice times to play on the playground, to play group games (camouflage and tail tag are camp favorites), play badminton and explore the children's garden. On the final afternoon the kids will enjoy getting their faces painted by Ms. McKibben, a professional face painter. Scroll down to see more pictures!
Day Camps run four days per week from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Camp fee is $155.00 per week.
